Clio Sports 2018
Clio Sports was launched in 2014 to honor the best in sports advertising and marketing. Every year, a veritable Who's Who of the sports business — marketing executives, broadcasters and athletes alike come together to select from an international pool of submissions, the breakthrough communications that elevated sports culture in the collective consciousness.
Last night, Clio Sports, the competition honoring creative excellence in sports marketing and advertising on an international scale, was held at Capitale in New York City. A night for creatives, marketers, and brand reps to mix, mingle and celebrate a year of work.
Freestyle Skier and U.S. Olympian Gus Kenworthy was in attendance for the Silver winning Samsung spot, "Gus Kenworthy: Road to Pyeongchang - Episode 2 - Letters of Influence" from Freeride Entertainment. Gus and boyfriend, Matt Wilkas, sat with the Samsung and Wasserman team.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders aka Prime Time, hosted this year’s ceremony. Former Major League Baseball player Carlos Beltrán received the Clio Sports Impact Award.
