Freehold Brunch
The word “brunch” holds a special meaning in the hearts of New Yorkers. Brunch is a weekly tradition for those who live in the city, typically celebrated on Sunday with a good group of friends. There are places all over Manhattan that offer a tasty meal and cocktails to beat the “Sunday scaries.” But head down to Brooklyn and you’ll find Freehold - the refined yet urban restaurant that can do it all.
This well-rounded restaurant checks most of the boxes one looks for in choosing a place to eat, drink, and have a good time. The Freehold has mastered creating a space that has a unique aesthetic and artistic feel. While the Freehold operates day-to-day as a restaurant, coffee shop, and bar, special events offer live music, dancing, and special performances that transform the space from day to night. Sundays at the Freehold usually start off quiet as guests gather for brunch and by mid afternoon- the music turns on.
Known for their savory dishes, the Freehold recently unveiled their newest brunch menu. The selection offers gourmet dishes of both breakfast and lunch favorites such as the “Smoked Salmon Scramble,” cooked over an English muffin; the “Brunch Burger,” a ground patty stacked with Munster cheese, fried egg, and the works, and a simple egg platter, scrambled with meat and made to perfection. Yummy vegetarian options now include the “Housemade Yogurt”, with berries, granola, and honey, the “Everything Salad”, and a plant-based veggie burger named the “Impossible.”
Also introduced were a range of cocktails perfectly crafted for the afternoon. The “Dirty Chai” tastes of chai, cinnamon, and tequila. A fruitier choice is the “Bloodhound,”a vodka-based drink disguised with a splash of grapefruit.
To celebrate, The Freehold generously hosted an intimate brunch in their private dining space. Tables were served courses of each dish, family-style to share and taste throughout the course of the afternoon. Both the food and cocktails were well received by guests, leaving no plate untouched. Overall, the event was very successful in launching their new menu.

Red Bull X Pac Man
Red Bull recently celebrated the release of their limited-edition Pac-Man inspired cans by hosting a party of retro perfection. The 80’s themed event took place on November 8th in the cozy downstairs of the Flower Shop.
Different patterns and textures filled this hole-in-the-wall pub located in the Lower East Side. The Flower Shop’s unique interior is artistically dated and unconventional, the perfect setting to instill nostalgia for the past. The vibe of the place is truly unique. The couches, flower displays and framed pictures invoked a comfort level similar to that of being at home. The downstairs is finished to be a friendly space to hangout with a fireplace and pool table.
Of course, Red Bull shook things up a bit by adding Pac Man to the decor mix for the evening. A live-action Pac Man game took center stage, and guests were encouraged to beat the infamous “high score.” In true gamer fashion, pinball machines were also a part of the excitement, as well as the newly launched cans that were modeled inside the screens of old-school television sets.
To satisfy every guest’s Red Bull craving, a specialty cocktail menu provided three drink options creatively named Pinky’s Drinky, Level Up, and Ghosted. All were deliciously blended and gave a noticeable kick of energy.
The party was powered with music from Hannah Bronfman and Kitty Cash. Pac Man himself was even there to meet-and-greet with guests, snapping photos with his fans all night.
From start to finish, the downstairs of the Flower Shop was packed, a full house by all means. The location, theme, and occasion were the perfect way to honor the collaboration of Red Bull and Pac Man. The Pac Man designed cans are currently in-stores now, be sure to check them out! The promotion will run from October 29th to the end of the year.

Election day is Tuesday, November 6. New York offers absentee ballots by mail to voters who will be unable to vote in person. All other voters are expected to vote in person.
Voters registered in New York can look up where to vote on New York's site or at GetToThePolls.com.
No early voting
New York does not offer an early voting period. If you will be unable to vote in person on Election Day, you can request an absentee ballot by mail or by visiting your local election office.
What to bring
If you've voted in New York before, you don't need to provide ID to vote.
If you're a first-time voter who registered by mail, and didn't provide a copy of your ID with your registration, you may need to show ID to vote. Acceptable forms include: a current and valid photo ID; or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows your name and address.
Voters without ID: If you are unable to provide ID, you will be able to vote an affidavit ballot.
Mercado Global Fashion Forward
On Thursday, November 1st, the 6th annual Fashion Forward Celebration was held on at The Bowery Hotel. The annual benefit raised funds and awareness for the work Mercado Global does to empower women entrepreneurs.
At the ceremony, Yael Aflalo, Founder of Reformation, received the 2018 Global Impact Award, presented by Lyndsey Butler; Karla Martinez de Salas, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Mexico & Latin America, received the 2018 Fashion Forward Visionary Award presented by Alexi Lubomirski; and Alida Boer, Philanthropist and Entrepreneur, received the 2018 Ambassador Award, presented by Aaron Diaz.
“At a time when the challenges facing women and families in Central America has been front and center in the news, it was so inspiring to see so many New Yorkers out in support of our work,” says Mercado Global Founder Ruth DeGolia, of the special evening. “The generosity and support of New York’s fashion, finance and philanthropic communities is unbelievable.”
Guests enjoyed Latin-themed chef's tables and cocktails prepared by Baby Brasa Organic Peruvian Cuisine, Toloache, Llamita, and specialty cocktails by Tabernero Pisco, Santera Tequila, Se Busca Mezcal and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

Through donor-funded business education and leadership programs, we help women create community businesses to support themselves and their families. The Food Film Festival 2018
Last week, The Food Film Festival returned to New York City for its 12th straight year! The four day Festival featured a series of events where food and film lovers got to Taste What They See on the Screen...right in their seats! The festival offers a unique experience where guests get to actually taste the foods they see on the screen right in the comfort of their own seats. It was a dream come true for food and film lovers alike. That's always followed by an official Festival After-Party with more food, drinks and fun, served up by chefs and restaurants from New York City and beyond.
The four-day festival which ran from Oct 24th to the 28th and showcased independent films accompanied by different dishes featured in said films. This year, the Festival kicked off with the World Premiere of Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown / Lower East Side presented by CNN Original Series.
The episode follows Bourdain on a personal journey through this formerly bohemian New York City neighborhood, as he meets, shares meals and reflects with music, film and art trailblazers including Richard Hell, Deborah HARRY and Chris Stein, Lydia Lunch, Fab 5 Freddy, Danny Fields, Amos Poe, Jim Jarmusch, Kembra Pfahler, John Lurie, Clayton Patterson and Harley Flanagan, whose collective cultural impact in the 1970's and '80's has sustained through the decades. 100% of proceeds from opening night will be donated to the Bronx Letters Foundation, a charity that was supported by Anthony Bourdain.
Thursday night, Guests were treated to an exclusive Eat & Greet with Saxon + Parole Chefs Brad Farmerie and Chef Nicole Gajadhar. Beer, wine, cocktails, films and tastes were all part of the exceptional experience.
Friday night celebrated many dishes of New York City's cuisine in Edible Adventures #16: Stories of New York. An eclectic mix of foods and films made here in New York City were presented to the patrons.
Saturday's festivities featured the magic of cooking meat over fire at Fire and Smoke: Texas BBQ and Beyond, bringing together Black's BBQ from Texas, Izzy's Smokehouse from Brooklyn and more. On scene, were the pit-masters responsible for bringing Central Texas Style BBQ to new spaces and chefs who can harness smokey goodness of fire-roasted meats. Presented were also the world famous brisket from renowned Kent and Barrett Black of The Original Black's BBQ in Austin, Texas.
Finally, the Festival closed on Sunday with All You Need is Brunch!

Big Apple Circus
On Sunday, October 28, the Tinsley Mortimer served as a guest ringmaster for the Big Apple Circus opening night. Fellow Real Housewives of New York Stars, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, and Ramona Singer were all in attendance to support their co-star. The 43-year-old beauty were all smiles as she flawlessly entertained the crowd.
The annual Big Apple Circus is a super outing for people of all ages. If you are looking for quality entertainment in Manhattan, Big Apple Circus cannot be beat. Presented in a traditional big top located in Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park, the show is European style with a single ring surrounded by seats, so no one is more than 50 feet from the action. The world renowned the show featured a roster of super hero talents, including Iron woman Virginia Tuells & her husband Ihosvanys Perez in DUO FUSION, a breathtaking acrobatic act that combines dance, strength, flexibility and passion in which Virginia handles a majority of the lifts; the wildly fun SPICY CIRCUS, created by Andréanne Quintal, whose team of performers will (literally) bounce off the walls in her feisty trampoline act; THE FLYING TUNIZIANIS, a double wide trapeze act showcasing seven fliers & two catchers in addition to the quadruple somersault by Ammed Tuniziani – a feat only successfully landed by ten people in the world – alongside his wife Estefani, brothers Gamal & Dandino, and more; DESIRE OF FLIGHT, a daring and balletic dual aerial straps act; a free-standing ladder balancing act by Emil Faltyny; for the first time in America, the gravity-defying horizontal juggler Victor Moiseev; Big Apple fan- favorite Jenny Vidbel with her cute animals; and the hilarious Mark Gindick &; Adam Kuchler.
The Big Apple Circus was a charming, adrenaline-charged, surprise. Exhilarating from beginning to end. Each act will give you the chills and make you burst out with cheers and hand clapping. Every single performer and animal will grab your attention. There is never a dull moment. I cannot applaud the entire production enough. Get tickets, show up and enjoy!

11th Annual Holiday House NYC
On Tuesday, October 23rd, the highly acclaimed Holiday House NYC kicked off at their luxurious, new 13,000 sq. foot limestone townhouse at 118 East 76th. The Opening Night Gala offered industry insiders and distinguished guests a first glimpse at the magnificently re-imagined townhouse.
Over 20 talented design firms transformed each room of the newly-built 32-foot-wide mansion, creating extravagantly appointed spaces and innovative designs loosely inspired by “holiday” themes, such as a “Getaway in Paris,” the “Crysthanamum Festival” and the “Modern Royal.”
The show house, which opened its doors to the public on October 24 at Upper East Side on one of New York’s most beautiful blocks, was founded by 21-year veteran breast cancer survivor Iris Dankner.
“We are delighted to be honoring our dear friends and colleagues Design Chairs Thom Filicia, Carson Kressley and Vicente Wolf and our inspiring Honorary Chair Tracy Anderson. Casita Maria Fiesta 2018
Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education’s Fiesta 2018 was held on Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 at New York’s Plaza Hotel. Each year at Fiesta, the Casita Maria Gold Medal of Honor is awarded to outstanding individuals in recognition to their contribution to the worlds of arts, education, and philanthropy. This year, Casita Maria honored three exceptional philanthropic individuals: Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos, Mary Snow, and Carlos Souza.
Cuban Actress Sissi Fleitas was the evening’s host. The Dinner Chairmen were Jacqueline Weld Drake, HRH Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, and Carlos Mota. Casita Maria’s Chairman Jacqueline Weld Drake presented all three honorees with their Gold Medals of Honor.
The Honorary Chairs were Elizabeth Peabody, Christine Schwarzman, and Lynn Wyatt.
American-Brazilian singer Bebel Gilberto performed two songs with guitarist Guilherme Monteiro.

For more than 80 years, Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education has served as a cultural and community anchor for thousands of young people and their families in the Hunts Point section of the South Bronx. Casita has earned a reputation as the first and oldest Latino charity in New York City. The mission of the Casita Maria Center for Arts & Education is to empower youth and their families by creating a culture of learning through high quality social, cultural, and educational opportunities.
Casita Maria was founded in 1934 by Claire and Elizabeth Sullivan, two schoolteachers in the living room of their apartment. Their goal was to give the children of recently arrived Latino families the support they needed to meet the challenges of a new language and a novel school system. The hope was that the young would thrive in their new homeland and lead their parents and their community to full participation in the American Dream. By developing innovative responses and programs as issues arose, relocating to the South Bronx as its community moved around the city, Casita has been able to effectively serve each new generation. By 1961, Casita was offering programs and essential services to thousands of New Yorkers. Even when the Bronx “burned” in the 1970's, Casita remained a safe haven and a gateway to opportunity. Today, Casita Maria is an institution, a driving force for scholastic enrichment through its vital after school and educational programs that focus on the arts and technology.
Dessert Goals: Joy Edition
In preparation of their dessert-only food festival, which began this past weekend and will continue on to the next, Dessert Goals held a preview on Saturday, October 13th, providing a special sneak peek of all the sweetness to come. As New York’s first all-dessert festival, this year’s Dessert Goals: Joy Edition provides a taste of the city’s dessert scene, featuring works from New York’s best experts on everything sweet, from trendy novelties to exotic delicacies to plain simple deliciousness.
In the spacious, waterfront location of Sound River Studios in Long Island City, over twenty unique dessert vendors set up shop amidst a mirage of rainbow colored streamers, balloons, and candy bracelets. Fitting with the theme of Joy Edition, the event was pet-friendly and welcomed pups to join in on the fun. With desserts and puppies, it doesn’t get much better.
The collection of the desserts themselves can only be described as a diverse medley of all the goodies NYC has to offer, spanning from the fresh lightness of Meringueshop’s 100% vegan aquafaba-based dragon fruit gelée meringue treats, to the all-out decadence of Sugar and Water’s “dossants” aka donut croissants aka flaky, buttery, sugar powdered goodness.
Other innovative creations include I CE NY’s rolled ice cream, Stuffed Ice Cream bouquets, and Keki Modern Cake’s purple yam “bouncy” cheesecakes while more classic delights include maple walnut pie from Petee’s Pie Company and traditional Canadian butter tarts made by BTarts. On Tuesday, October 16th, God’s Love We Deliver (GLWD), in collaboration with celebrated designer Michael Kors, hosted their 2018 Golden Heart Awards. The dinner is hosted each year to thank honorees for their activism, and bring together an audience of individuals who share a passion for helping others as well as the New York community. This year marks the GLWD’s 12th hosting of the event, as well as their return to the downtowns dreamy Spring Studio venue.

The evening kicked off with a cocktail hour featuring iconic New York restaurants, each of which offered guests a taste of their menu staples. The restaurants included Gramercy Tavern, Murray’s Cheese Bar, Katz’s Deli, Empellón, Russ & Daughters and Antica Pesa.

Kors was all smiles as he walked the carpet with honorary co-chair and close friend, Anna Wintour. The pair kept busy by greeting other guests as they arrived. The excitement in the room was intense and crowds gathered to see who was going into come in through the doors. Dynamic duo, Iman and Donna Karen took to the carpet arm-in-arm. Lynda Carter and Blaine Trump playfully showcased their friendship laughing and smiling before the cameras. The Michael Kors Award for Outstanding Community Service was presented to actor and philanthropist, Hugh Jackman. When accepting his award, Jackman belted out the song “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning” and encouraged the crowd into joining him. In the audience to support the emotional acceptance speech was his wife, Debrroa-Lee Furness. The Golden Heart Award for Lifetime Achievement was presented to playwright and screenwriter, Tony Kushner for his recognizable years of amazing work. Lastly, the Golden Heart Award for Outstanding Volunteerism went to auctioneer and philanthropist, Jamie Niven.

GLWD is a charitable organization that delivers health-driven and balanced meals to those living with AIDs/HIV and serious illnesses within the metropolitan area. Kors, a born and bred New Yorker himself, works endlessly to support the city in which he cares for so much. The close partnership between GLWD and Kors acts as a driving force to spread awareness for the current crisis of hunger and illness. The Golden Heart Awards are an important night in continuing the conversation and further facilitating change for this community.

Global Lyme Alliance Gala
The Global Lyme Alliance (GLA), the leading 501(c)(3) dedicated to conquering Lyme and other tick-borne diseases through research, education and awareness, announced that it raised over $2 million dollars at its fourth annual New York City Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
The money raised at the event will support GLA’s mission to advance scientific research leading to a reliable diagnostic test, improved treatment options, and ultimately, find a cure for Lyme and other tick-borne disease. Ramona Singer and Erin Walker were honored at the gala while the audience was treated to a show-stopping performance by Tony Award-winning Broadway and television star Sutton Foster.
The gala experience was produced by co-chair and celebrated event producer Larry Scott of Lawrence Scott Events, who donated his event planning and design services towards the Global Lyme Alliance’s New York Gala for the fourth consecutive year. Showcasing his unique commitment to philanthropic causes, the spectacular and one-of-a-kind gala was an evening to remember for invited celebrities, business leaders, and top scientists alike.
The affair was attended by more than 700 supporters at Cipriani 42nd Street and recognized Ramona Singer, entrepreneur, philanthropist and star of Bravo TV’s “Real Housewives of New York City,” and Erin Walker, mother, equestrian, business owner, and wife of 2016 PGA Championship winner Jimmy Walker. Ramona has seen the devastating impact of Lyme disease first-hand through close family members and friends, and both Erin and her husband Jimmy are currently battling the disease. Lori Stokes, co-anchor of FOX 5 Good Day New York, hosted the event.
Erin and Ramona both addressed the crowd in emotional testimonies of their experiences with Lyme and their dedication to raising awareness for finding a cure for this insidious disease. Jimmy Walker spoke to the crowd by way of video, thanking GLA and congratulating Erin. Global superstar Avril Lavigne recorded a special video message for the crowd, which was shown, announcing that she has officially accepted the invitation to join GLA’s Board of Directors, as well as details of the new strategic partnership between The Avril Lavigne Foundation and GLA. Avril’s new single, “Head Above Water,” is about her personal struggle with Lyme disease.
Celebrity event planner Larry Scott of Lawrence Scott Events donated the design and décor for the sophisticated celebration. A New York City skyline projection scaling the wall of Cipriani 42nd Street illuminated the room in midnight purple. Each table was set with gold brass teardrop lamps or glass candle centerpieces alongside small potted foliage, and atop glittering gold or black tablecloths. The awe-inspiring gala experience embodied the signature stylings of A Larry Party™, perfectly balancing the highs with the lows and the formal with the relaxed to empathize significant moments. Other evening highlights included a surprise performance, by the Big Apple Circus and a menu inspired by Drew Nieporent of Myriad Restaurant Group, with sushi courtesy of Nobu.
Past GLA Gala honoree Yolanda Hadid spoke to guests about her Lyme journey and introduced a short video that illustrates the impact Lyme can have on one’s entire family. The ceremony ended with a very special performance by Tony Award-winning actress and recording artist, Sutton Foster.

Together1heart Gala
Susan Sarandon and Danny Abeckaser were honored Monday night at the together1heart inaugural New York Gala at TAO Downtown. The evening supported together1heart's continued work to end slavery and to support women's rights globally.
It was a moving evening with every speaker receiving a standing ovation. Bill Livermore, Executive Director of together1heart, cited a figure of 22 million girls currently held in sex slavery worldwide and the emergence of significantly younger women being sold into Cambodian brothel’s. “Somaly Mam recently rescued a child of only 22 months,” he said.
Sina Vann, herself a survivor of sex slavery, and now a staff member of together1heart, described the horrific conditions she was kept in against her will, and the joy she now experiences working with survivors. Actor, writer, and producer Danny Abeckaser received the “Voices for Change” award for his generous support of both the organization and for the chairman, actress AnnaLynne McCord. Said McCord, “This organization changed my life, gave me a sense of worth, and an understating of what one person can do. When you show up for children you change the world. I want to applaud everyone who showed up tonight.”
Susan Sarandon and Somaly Mam together on stage made an indelible impression. Said Susan, “In this time when you can be disheartened and distraught, look instead at how many women are finding their voices and how many men are standing beside them. Love is a powerful force and we are all privileged to be part of the love Somaly Mam brings to a difficult story. Look at what Somaly has done, what one person can do. She invited me to meet the young women and girls in her program. What I met were strong women. You don’t forget the past but you can move forward”. Said Somaly on closing, “Susan, I love you very much”.

One of the most recognizable faces in Flatiron just had a face lift. Slate, which has been a staple in Chelsea since 2000, just had a $2 million-dollar renovation, which was cause for recent celebration.
On Thursday, September 27th, The Lure Group's CEO Aristotle Hatzigeorgiou welcomed over 500 guests to take in Slate's all-new look during a massive carnival themed bash. Drinks were flowing as revelers rediscovered this massive 16,000 square foot adult playground, which now boasts three bowling lanes, a secret karaoke room, a BYOB (Be Your Own Bartender) pouring station with 20 adult beverages on tap and a 20-foot slide to get partygoers from the top to ground floor without having to lift a foot.
Real Housewives of New York Stars Dorinda Medley, Ramona Singer and Tinsley Mortimer, Summer House Stars Lindsay Hubbard and Lauren Wirkus and New York Mets Hall of Famer John Franco were among the notable names in attendance who took in a performance by Jazz Vocalist Hannah Gill and danced into the night with music courtesy of DJ Kasey Berry.
Guests also got in the action at the ping pong and pool tables, Skee-Ball, pinball and at Slate's new 8-player foosball table. Shot-skis were poured by the team at Club Getaway who were on hand to raffle off a weekend away at their adult sleepaway camp in the Berkshire Mountains. Executive Chef Darryl Harmon also showcased some of his new signature dishes at the party and guests got to indulge in cotton candy on glow sticks. Kellari Fall Tasting Menu
Kellari, the perennially popular Greek hotspot in Midtown West known for its delicious traditional and modern Greek Mediterranean menu, and terrific Greek wine list, welcomed Executive Chef, Themis Papadopoulos to their team this month. Papadopoulos has over 20 years of experience working in fine-dining restaurants and 5-Star hotels in Paris and Greece.
Chef Papadopoulos earned his education from Ecole Lenôtre and as a visiting chef at the Michelin-starred The Kitchen Gallery in Paris and the 2 Michelin starred Greenhouse in London. Papadopoulos' worked as a gastronomy consultant at the Athens Was Design Hotel from 2015-2017 and spent the last seven years as the Chef de Cuisine at the Michelin-starred Le Mavromattis in Paris. Papadopoulos is now continuing his journey with a big move to the United States, helming the kitchen at Kellari.
Upon entering the restaurant, guests were welcomed and made to feel like a regular — in a part of midtown where most places treat you like a tourist even if you’re a local.
Chef provided the press with a first look at a new five course tasting menu, which will debut this fall at the restaurant with Greek wine pairings from Santorini and beyond. The tasting began with pickled beetroot salmon with mango and fresh turmeric root coulis followed by a Cannelloni bean soup with mastiha extract. A stand-out avocado cannelloni with smoked almonds, crab meat, red peppers and squid ink tuille followed. Seafood dolmades with pan seared langoustines and fresh herbs was served over a lobster bisque and then came a picture-perfect Branzino Tart with tomato concasse, yellow zucchini and a watercress pesto. The perfect ending came in the form of poached figs in Mavrodafni sweet wine with salep cream and walnuts.
Kellari Hospitality Group owner Stavros Aktipis continues to grow his restaurant empire which boasts Kellari, Cesca on the Upper West Side and a new Greek restaurant called Lefkes in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.

Harper's BAZAAR ICONS 2018
On Friday, September 7th, Harper’s Bazaar hosted its annual ICONS Party as part of New York Fashion Week. Often considered the Met Gala of the fall season, the party is the echelon of all NYFW parties. Not the case every year, but for New York A listers, there were two places to be last night: out celebrating Ralph Lauren’s 50th anniversary, or partying with Roitfeld. Most stars probably tried to be seen at both events.
The affair, which celebrates the ICONS September issue of the magazine, was centered around the theme of family -- more specifically, “The First Families of Music.” The September issue presented some of music’s biggest names posing alongside with their loved ones, with full spread featuring the families of Bruce Springsteen, Kanye West, Christina Aguilera, Lionel and Nicole Richie, Mariah Carey, Paris Jackson, Steven Tyler, Erykah Badu, and Keith Richards.
The night did not disappoint — there was lots of style, lots beautiful people and lots of drama. The night began when flocks of Beautiful models and stars showed up at the famed Plaza Hotel in their best gala attire. Christina Aguilera, who was the special performer at the event, made sure all eyes were on her as she walked the red carpet in a white gown billowing with feathers. After posing for the cameras, the celebs made their way upstairs to Plaza's Grand Ballroom. However, the major story of the night happened outside the main ballroom in the landing area where the scuffle took place between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj.
Reportedly, the "Bodak Yellow" artist approached Minaj's "address" some issues, and a member of the Nicki’s bodyguards elbowed Cardi B's face, causing a noticeable swelling on her forehead. Cardi B retaliated by launching a red platform shoe at Nicki, which missed. Cardi B was seen leaving the Icons party after the altercation.
Inside the party, most of the fashion personalities and Hollywood superstars did not even know about the clash, or maybe they did not care. Everyone was either too busy or too excited to catch up with their equally-as-famous friends. The main act of the evening happened when Christina Aguilera took the stage and brought everyone back to the 2000s with some of her classics. In attendance were the Hadid sisters, Caitlyn Jenner, Tiffany Haddish and every major model imaginable, from Adriana Lima to Christie Brinkley, just to name a few.
Just another year of past, present and future ICONS gathering to celebrate an unforgettable night.
The Hotline x Kilian
On Wednesday August 1st, a very special “scented” occasion was held at Kilian boutique. The National Domestic Violence Hotline and Killian partnered up to hold a fundraiser and discover more about the mission of The Hotline.
The Hotline is the only 24/7 national organization that has access to service providers & shelters across the US to help people affected by domestic violence. They handle an average of 1300+ phone calls, chats, & texts a day. This is an insane amount of calls, and that is not even close to the amount of domestic violence that happens every single passing minute. You never know what is happening behind closed doors. This is why it is so important to hold these events that spread awareness.
Have you ever experienced the feeling of nostalgia when you smell a certain scent, and it takes you back to a distinct memory? It feels like you are reliving that moment all over again. The Hotline spreads such an important message regarding awareness of domestic violence, and Killian wanted to help everyone remember that. Guests who attended this event had the option to purchase Kilian fragrances and have the proceeds go towards The Hotline. Hopefully, these guests will smell Kilian and they will remember what they learned about The Hotline. Hopefully they will tell their friends about their mission, and more victims will know that there is an organization out there that can help them.
