Brickworks Global Flagship Design Studio
On Thursday, March 3, Brickworks North America — a subsidiary of Brickworks Limited, one of the most premium and diverse building material manufacturers — welcomed InvitedNYC to officially celebrate its global flagship Design Studio in New York City. Located on NYC’s iconic 5th Avenue, the Brickworks New York Design Studio provides architects, designers and homeowners an upscale, stylish space to collaborate on projects, explore premium products, and attend industry and educational events.
The festive 1930s celebration was attended by more than 300 guests, who included “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” stars Carson Kressley and Thom Filicia; Mark Ellenor, President of Brickworks North America; Lindsay Partridge, Managing Director of Brickworks; Robert Millner, Chairman of Brickworks; the Honorable Arthur Sinodinos AO, Australian Ambassador to the United States; and the Honorable Nicholas Greiner AC, Australian Consul-General to New York.
“Opening our international flagship Design Studio in New York City is a pivotal milestone for Brickworks and another opportunity for us to continue our expansion in North America,” said Lindsay Partridge, Managing Director, Brickworks. “It’s an honor to bring our expertise to New York City, home to some of the most diverse, lively and iconic architectural structures in the world and one of the world’s premier design hubs. With a fashion-forward, high-end product collection and unparalleled design experience, we’re thrilled to have our global flagship on New York City’s most famous shopping street among other legendary brands.”
Guests indulged in hors d’oeuvres and 1930s-style craft cocktails, while receiving an inside view of Glen-Gery’s line of top products throughout the evening. Midway through the night, Australian pop star Samantha Jade, who has worked with Ashley Tisdale and won the 4th season of “The X Factor” in Australia, took the stage. The pop sensation sang true classics including “Respect” by Aretha Franklin, “Fever” by Peggy Lee, “New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra, and “We Are Family” by Sister Sledge.
Inspired by the Art Deco architectural movement in New York and the timeless style of the world-famous Chrysler building. InvitedNYC entered the swanky celebratory black-tie party through a red carpet entrance greeted by flappers, circus entertainment, Veuve Clicquot champagne towers and hundreds of quality brick and stone products on display.
The 1930s-style celebration kicked off with welcome remarks from Mark Ellenor, president of Brickworks North America, and a champagne toast. Following, media, dignitaries and industry attendees enjoyed a lively evening of entertainment in the Design Studio’s 16,171-square-foot space and viewed hundreds of high-quality product samples from Glen-Gery.

Idriss B. Hosted a Polyverse Art NFT Concert
Artist Idriss B. hosted a Special Polyverse Art NFT Concert at Nebula Nightclub in NYC on February 16th . Tyga kicked off the night with a performance that had the crowd on their feet, followed by Busta Rhymes and his sidekick Spliff. Ja Rule closed out the show with a stage of women dancing with him…
Idriss B. had a lot to celebrate this week since Patrons of Park Avenue (POPA) announced its inaugural art installation on Park Avenue in the Murray Hill neighborhood of New York City with world-renowned artist, Idriss B. himself. The artist's iconic polygonal shaped animal sculptures now inhabit Park Avenue, including Rexor the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Manny the Mammoth, Baloo the Bear, and Mojo the Gorilla, along 34th to 38th Street.
Born and raised outside Paris, France, Idriss B. has shown an interest in art since childhood. With decades worth of experience helping to create retail and window displays for luxury brands such as Dior, Moncler, Coach, & Michael Kors, Idriss B. launched his unique artistic collection of origami-polygonal shaped animal sculptures in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and now, New York City.
"One of the most beautiful places in the world is New York and it is the perfect place for me to exhibit my work. It is a hardworking city with a warm family environment, so it is very fitting for people to see and feel the strength of my pieces while bringing the fun to everybody, especially the kids," said Idriss B.
In bringing his artwork to New York City, Idriss B. has collaborated with POPA, which supports the care, maintenance, and planting of the malls of Park Avenue in the Murray Hill neighborhood of New York City, and NYC Parks.
The artist is not only doing it big in real life such as his expos in Dubai and now in Park Avenue, he is also into digital and launched his own NFT collection .NFT are a digital asset that links ownership to unique physical or digital items such as art, music, real estate, or videos.
His NFT, the Polyverse Art, are no ordinary NFTs. Not only are they designed by a real-life artist but being an owner of one of the NFTs has the chance to win an exclusive giveaway to become an astronaut and win a ticket into space!
All people who purchase his NFT will also get a real small statue delivered right to their door. And last but not least, this will give access to special experiences and events like the one that took place at Nebula.
For the first time in history, a real artist is bringing the Metaverse to life by sharing his passion, exploration, and dedication to his craft.

NY Cheese & Wine Week
The 5th edition of the New York Cheese & Wine Week is back and will take place from March 7 to 16, 2022. Created by Jean-François Hesse, founder of Essential PR, this tasty celebration brings together top European dairy and wine producers from the Savoie region of France.

Monopoly’s new Edition – Play the Brooklyn Way
Right at a time where many of us might not be able to explore our new or old Brooklyn neighborhoods the way we normally would, Monopoly is offering its newest addition: The Brooklyn Edition. Released a few weeks ago, the new edition offers up to 6 players a fun way to remotely explore known buildings and locations in their area.
From finally buying a Brooklyn brownstone townhouse to finding metro day passes on the Q train, the game offers a broad variety of creative and well thought-through details showcasing the familiarity of creators with our beloved neighborhood. To further enhance the playing experience, creators such as Dennis Gavaghen, representative from Top Trumps USA, also “incorporated important feedback from locals to truly make this a fun and engaging game for Brooklynites and beyond”.
By doing so, they also ensured that even well-accustomed Brooklynites might discover some not yet well-known cultural attractions. The Community Chest in particular showcases the cultural diversity around Brooklyn by highlighting attractions such as the ‘The World of Good’ exhibition of the Jewish Children’s Museum.
But it's not just the cultural diversity that finds important recognition. The new edition also features small Brooklyn-based restaurants and businesses. From free cheesecake at Junior’s Restaurant to shopping at Awoke Vintage, players are provided with inspiration to take their explorations from the board to the street. A Monopoly fan herself, Liz Powers from Awoke Vintage is sure that “locals and visitors will be thrilled to play and what a great way to celebrate Brooklyn”.
So, if you are still looking for Christmas presents or fun ways to bring the whole family together for the holidays, the new Monopoly Brooklyn Edition offers a few hours of interactive engagement for locals, visitors and all those that have not yet had a chance to explore our beautiful neighborhood themselves.
Don't Miss out on Greenpoint's newest restaurant!
Located on the ground floor of Greenpoint's historic Pencil Factory and on the corner of Franklin street is “Sereneco,” a warm and healthy restaurant that opened only this September.
As I was about to open the all wood front door, a woman who was walking by stopped my friend and I to say “You are in for a treat because the chef is insanely good.” Well, that’s a good sign to start my night, isn't it? Upon entering, the host warmly greeted and seated us at our table. As we walked to the table, I couldn't help but notice the modern design of the space with high ceilings, wood furnishings, and overhead lanterns.
The restaurant offers contemporary, seasonal New American food in a bright and airy space that pays homage to the building’s original structure. Led by Owner & Beverage Director Billy Van Dolsen and Partner Jim Nawn, the restaurant is a peaceful oasis for locals and visitors alike. Sereneco is really cool in that it gives you the feeling of a cafe kind of place during daytime, and more restaurant vibes during nighttime.
Looking at the menu and you’ll find extremely unique, satisfying dishes. We began our night with the seared octopus which comes with a side of black puree, marinated olives and a fennel salad. I’ve never had black puree before, but it was definitely worth the try. As for the cocktails, I had the Dorothy Parker Sour; so good that the second round was on the table before the main dish arrived. High five to the bartender! We were actually told that the bar offers a variety of cocktails with New York State-produced gins paired with botanically compatible tonics and garnishes; as well as beers exclusively sourced from Brooklyn and natural organic wines.
For my main dish, I had the delicious Seared Cod. It came with a Vadouvan Curry broth, basmati rice, dried cranberries and pistachio; and my friend ordered the Braised Short Rib which came with potato mash, glazed baby carrot and gremolata. She mentioned it was “cooked just right to provide both a crispy and tender flavor.” We ended it with an Apple Crumble dessert, and we were simply just savoring the moment. Just as the woman at the door said, the food was indeed insanely good and gave us the feeling of a meal that’s home cooked by a chef.
One thing that shouldn’t go unnoticed, is the service. All-star for this wonderful service. It was excellent and went smoothly making our night fun and relaxing.
The restaurant had a steady flow of customers without feeling overly crowded, a healthy sign for a new spot opening during a pandemic. I highly recommend eating and/or drinking at Sereneco. You'll support a local business and enjoy yourself.
P.S: We were there on a Tuesday and found out that Sereneco offers Happy Hour from Tuesdays through Wednesdays where guests can enjoy select cocktails for $9, glasses of wine for $8, and beers for $6.
Don’t hesitate to look at their menu here sereneconyc.com and check out their IG page @sereneconyc for the look and feel of the restaurant!

EXXXOTICA 2021
Pre-show, all signs were pointing to the 2021 edition of EXXXOTICA New Jersey (https://exxxoticaexpo.com) lined up to be big, but how big was anyone's guess. After 726 days since the adult convention's doors last opened at the New Jersey Expo Center in Edison, attendees, exhibitors and stars alike were thirsty for the return of the nation's largest event dedicated to love and sex. As the massive banner that decorated the entry way and the hashtags on social media said, "It's About F***ing Time," and it seems the thousands of men, women and couples from the New Jersey/New York metro area emphatically agreed.
Three Expo Events, the producers of EXXXOTICA New Jersey, presented by MyFreeCams (http://myfreecams.com), had their gut-feelings this was going to be a big show, with advance ticket sales trending over the 12 previous years the expo had been in the Garden State, including the 10th anniversary show in 2017 that saw record numbers, and that feeling proved to be right on the money.
Every day of EXXXOTICA surpassed all previous shows of any of the previous 44 events held across the country since the show's inception 16 years ago. When all was said and done, EXXXOTICA New Jersey cemented its reputation as the largest adult event in the United States.
"We always look forward to EXXXOTICA New Jersey, so it was hard postponing 2020's show along with our other cities," said J. Handy of Three Expo Events, and Director of EXXXOTICA. "We didn't know when we would be back or how the shows would go. When we got the "all clear" to start up again in 2021, and with the success of our Chicago and Miami shows, we knew our Jersey show would crush it. And man, did it. We want to thank everyone that made this such an incredible show, especially our sponsors, exhibitors, stars, stage performers, seminar speakers, staff, and most importantly everyone who came out and had a crusher of an event!"
When EXXXOTICA opened its doors for "Ladies Free Friday," and throughout the weekend until the doors closed Sunday night, thousands of men, women and couples flowed through the doors to meet their favorite stars, visit over 100 exhibitors, take in stage shows, seminars, explore their fantasies at CouplesX, or the interactive Dungeon Experience, and pack the various after parties around the area.
The Chaturbate Entertainment Stage (https://chaturbate.com), featured a non-stop schedule featuring the hottest performers, including aerialists, burlesque shows, contests and more by such legendary acts such as RubberDoll, Tiny Texie, BJ McNaughty and more. Winners were crowned in the EXXXOTICA Pole Championships and of course, Ms. EXXXOTICA.
EXXXOTICA's Seminar Series was packed with 20-plus hours of sexy, adult education, curated by EXXXOTICA's Resident Sexpert, Tyomi Morgan, and presented by some of the biggest and most respected names in the industry. The men, women and couples had their questions answered and interests piqued by a broad range of topics ranging from the mild to the wild and all points in between.
Spotlight, sponsored by leading fantasy toy makers, Bad Dragon (https://bad-dragon.com) was arguably the busiest destination on the show floor. Fans had the opportunity to meet their favorite adult film stars, including legends and the hottest names including, Stormy Daniels, Jesse Jane, Violet Myers, Katie Morgan, Reya Sunshine, Kenzie Reeves, Brooklyn Chase, Joanna Angel, Britney Amber, Vicki Chase, Alex Coal, Jessie Lee, Kenzie Taylor, Vina Sky, Lacy Lennon, Lilly Bell, Jessie Saint, Evan Stone, Bridgette B., Keisha Grey, Nicollete Shea, April O'Neil, Jillian Janson and many more.
Other top stars such as Candace Von, Ember Snow, Misty Stone, RubberDoll, Kiki Klout, Tiny Texie, Casey Carter, Platinum Puzzy, Coralyn Jewel, Keli Richards, Lissa Aires, Kendra Kox and Girls Gone Wireless, Alana Luv, Kimmie Kaboom, Aria Carson, Nicole Auclair, the girls of Elite Talent Direct, Gigi Dior, Gina Starr, Rita Daniels, Ashley Fox, Seka Black, Thee Black Asian, and tons more stars and content creators appeared at the show, along with countless of the world's top cam models at MyFreeCams and Chaturbate.
EXXXOTICA's LGBTQ+ initiative, SW!TCH, also sponsored by Bad Dragon, made sure to promote the message of inclusion as LGBTQ+-friendly companies and talent to the many who came out to support and show their queer pride.
The show's Dungeon Experience hosted many who were there to learn more, play or just people watch. And, the show's new and improved lifestyle area, CouplesX, sponsored by Kasidie (https://kasidie.com), featured swinger-friendly seminars, meet and greets at the show and after hours, and more.
Speaking of after hours, EXXXOTICA kept the fun going with the show's official after parties. Thanks to VIP sponsors Sapphire 60 (https://nysapphire.com), attendees enjoyed the hottest parties with the stars of EXXXOTICA at hot spots such as the Sapphire clubs in New York, Blush Gentlemen's Club in North Jersey, and the show's host hotel with live music by Big Bang Baby, DJ Chelli and Joe Trivia.
EXXXOTICA's "Safe & Sexy" program sponsored by Chaturbate, provided masks for those who wanted as well as other protocols put into place which follow all recommendations from health and safety officials. Also, City Testing Services (https://ctestingservices.org/) was on hand to provide attendees with free rapid and PCR tests to help keep everyone safe.
When all was said and done, this was truly a show to remember and set the bar high for not only future EXXXOTICA's around the country.
The Glass Penthouse
The Glass Penthouse is a 6,500 square foot private residence currently for sale or rent in the East Village, designed by former CEO of HBO Michael Fuchs. On October 14, at an event displaying the spectacular architecture of the penthouse, Fuchs explained how his vision for this residence was similar to his philosophy for HBO when it was an emerging media company: be different.
The apartment was renovated drastically into the modern haven it is today, with part of the second floor being removed to allow for the opening to the skylight roof. Fuchs wanted to escape the feeling of being boxed in, leading to the beautiful glass ceiling that spans the living space, as well as a roof terrace and patio on each side of the penthouse. This renovation occurred at a historic moment of architectural change in the East Village and was a thrilling challenge.
Over the years, Fuchs has hosted legendary Oscars parties at the Glass Penthouse, with at a point there being more Hollywood studio heads in that penthouse than back in Hollywood! This includes being the place for the after-party celebrations for the 1995 Forrest Gump Academy Award winnings.
Aysha Saeed, creative director of fashion brand AYSHA NY included a presentation of her latest designs, some of which have been inspired by the Glass Penthouse. Live violin music and tequila cocktails by Lebron James’ Lobos 1707 set the scene for experiencing the incredible residence that is The Glass Penthouse.

6 Giving Opportunities in NYC
Giving to others who need help is one of the most fulfilling things in life. When you give back, it feels like someone has lifted a weight off your shoulders. Being able to make someone’s day better feels incredibly satisfying. Fortunately, if you’re living in NYC, there are so many ways to give back through charity work that anyone can participate in. You don’t have to be rich or famous—just generous! That said, here are the top overlooked charity opportunities in the Big Apple.
1. Food Banks
Food is the easiest and also the most crucial necessity you can provide for the needy. There are several food banks in New York City, but the Food Bank for New York City in the Bronx and Capital Region Food Bank might be your best starting point. The Bronx has been struggling with increasing poverty over the past few years. Not to mention that crime is also prevalent, so this is an area that needs all the help it can get. These organizations assist those living below the poverty line by providing free groceries every week. Plus, they also distribute fresh produce through farmers’ market programs.
2. Book Donation
As the world becomes more digitized, physical tomes of knowledge are becoming rarer by the day. Many people don’t realize that libraries and schools are always looking for new books. You can donate old collections to the Brooklyn Public Library. A program called NYC Books Through Bars will take your paperbacks and give them to incarcerated individuals to help deal with loneliness. Giving away these precious pages means imparting your knowledge to others. The easiest way to donate books is by organizing them into fiction or nonfiction. Try to cover them if you can and then take them directly to your nearest public library branch or school.
3. Donating When Moving
Moving is one of the most overlooked opportunities to help others. During the process, it’s more likely that you will have a few extra things lying around that you won’t want to bring. You may have a spare TV sitting in your old apartment, or your kids may have outgrown their old toys and clothing. Consider donating these things to people who can’t afford to buy stuff themselves.
These donations are a tremendous help to those living in low-income communities or neighborhoods where resources are scarce. It’s not just limited to toys or TVs. Donate whatever items you no longer need! It can be furniture, utensils, clothes, or even paint! What might seem like trash to you could make somebody else’s day brighter. Don’t hesitate to share!
But since you won’t have a lot of time during the move, it’s best to leave the job to the professionals. Experts from www.moversnyc.com suggest that you hire a reputable moving company that offers to deliver your donation items to charity organizations for free. If your movers show that they care about others even without money involved, they’re also likely to care about your belongings since you’re their client.
4. Blood Donation
Do you want to give something that can save lives? Then donating your blood will undoubtedly make a difference! Many people need blood donations daily. With so many accidents and emergencies, there is always a shortage of healthy blood for those who need it most. Blood donation is a great way to keep the supply of this essential fluid sufficient at all times. To donate, visit any American Red Cross center or call (877) 733-2767 to book an appointment and learn the next steps.
5. Donate to Orphanages
Imagine a world without orphanages. These institutions provide care and support for children who have lost their parents or whose families can no longer afford to take care of them. But beyond the good intention, it’s not easy to run one. Orphanages need help with everything, including clothes, food, and toys for the kids. If you would like to donate your old items, pack them nicely and send them over to the local charity. Orphanages close to NYC include Zion Orphanage, which has been providing a home for children since 1899.
6. Volunteer
What’s a better way to donate than giving some of your time to others? There are many different charities in New York City that will be more than happy to have you volunteer. You can choose from several programs, including Habitat for Humanity, the American Red Cross, Green Thumb, and many others. Most of these groups connect people with opportunities that suit their interests, such as elderly care or knitting. They offer an eclectic mix of activities covering everything from animal rescue centers to soup kitchens. Nothing’s more fun than helping other people while doing what you love!
Sharing is caring. Beyond NYC’s glamour and wealth lies thousands of people struggling to get by. One act of kindness might not seem like much, but it should be enough to make even an inkling of a difference. Don’t think twice about sharing your blessings.
