13th Taste of Sunnyside 2023

For the 13th year, Taste of Sunnyside made a comeback on Sunday, October 15th. This year's event included over 50 neighborhood eateries and breweries, along with a block party with live music, a local artists' exhibition, kid-friendly activities, and more on 46th Street between Queens Boulevard and Greenpoint Avenue.

The event's producer, Dirk McCall de Palomá, Executive Director of Sunnyside Shines, said, "Ticket holders traveled between participating restaurants and bars and were treated to a wide variety of tastes of local signature dishes and beers." He went on, "It's fantastic for small business owners to build relationships with their neighbors directly because event attendees got to visit each participating restaurant."

The annual Sunnyside Shines Business Improvement District event encourages both locals and tourists to enjoy the neighborhood's unique culinary offerings. Adding to the weekend's activities that united families in support of the community was the presence of regional musicians, artists, and merchants.
