NYC comedy veteran and show producer Jeremy Pinsly, alongside his wife and business partner Kayla Pinsly, is set to debut Greenpoint Comedy Club this spring in the heart of Greenpoint.
The new 2,000+ square foot venue will spotlight top comedians from New York City and beyond, paired with a thoughtfully designed bar program serving expertly crafted cocktails from afternoon through 2AM. Designed to feel as much like a neighborhood hang as a performance space, the club blends live entertainment with a social, lounge-style atmosphere that encourages guests to stay long after the show ends.
The bar is expected to open in late March, with an official grand opening weekend taking place Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11. Opening night will feature an 8PM comedy show followed by a launch party with music, food, and appearances from some of NYC’s most exciting comics. The celebration continues the next evening with two shows at 7:30PM and 10:15PM.
Built by comics, for comics, Greenpoint Comedy Club places equal emphasis on performer experience and audience comfort. From top-tier lighting and A/V systems to the intentional layout of the space, every detail has been designed to enhance live performance while also accommodating recordings and specials. The club will host everything from regular sets and headliner nights to opportunities for emerging talent to develop and reach new audiences.
Pinsly brings more than 15 years of experience performing and producing stand-up across NYC and nationally. His past productions span traditional comedy clubs, speakeasies, a boxing gym, and even a Cobble Hill brownstone, where his monthly shows sold out consistently for two years. Drawing from that experience, Jeremy and Kayla are creating a venue that fills gaps in the current comedy scene—balancing high-quality programming with a strong sense of community.
At its core, Greenpoint Comedy Club is designed as an incubator for the next generation of comedians. With a focus on bringing back “the hang,” the space encourages guests and performers to mingle before and after shows, creating a more immersive and connected experience.
The venue’s beverage program is curated by industry veteran and mixologist Dory Greenberg, complementing the club’s cozy atmosphere and positioning it as both a comedy destination and a go-to bar in the neighborhood.
While comedy remains the foundation, Greenpoint Comedy Club will also host live music, writing workshops, and after-school programming, further expanding its role as a creative hub for Brooklyn.
