Orpheus Chamber Orchestra will close out its 2025–2026 season at Carnegie Hall with a special performance featuring acclaimed pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii. Blind from birth and winner of the 2009 Van Cliburn Gold Medal, Tsujii joins Orpheus as an honorary member for Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2.
The evening’s program will also include a bespoke Michael Stephen Brown orchestration of Brahms’ First Piano Trio and a new work by Viet Cuong, making this season finale a standout night for classical music lovers in New York City.
Founded in 1972 by cellist Julian Fifer, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra is known for its conductorless approach, bringing together exceptional artists through a collaborative model built on trust, artistry, and shared creative leadership. In addition to its celebrated performances, the orchestra remains committed to making music accessible across the city through free concerts, school programs, and initiatives serving those living with dementia.
This final Carnegie Hall performance of the season promises an inspiring evening of innovation, artistry, and edge-of-your-seat intensity.
