National Margarita Day is on the horizon in NYC, taking place on Sunday, February 22nd
Time Out Market Union Square is celebrating National Margarita Day all weekend long with a festive perk: guests who make any purchase at the brand new Tacos Fonda from February 20th to the 22nd will receive a complimentary margarita at the bar. Visitors that download the Time Out Market Union Square app and show their digital receipt at the bar will score a margarita on the house! Tacos Fonda, which debuted on January 23rd, marks the brand’s first fast-casual concept, bringing its signature tacos, quesadillas, and desserts to the popular NYC market. Helmed by acclaimed chef and cookbook author Roberto Santibañez, Tacos Fonda is celebrated for its contemporary Mexican cuisine rooted in tradition and inspired by the vibrant flavors of Mexico City, with established locations in Chelsea, Tribeca, Park Slope, Nashville and in Japan.
Renwick Hospitality Group is also toasting the occasion at both Lindens (2 Renwick Street) and Foxtail (231 Hudson Street) inside Arlo Soho with some irresistible specials, including $14 Margherita pizzas and $12 Margarita cocktails for the day crafted with rosemary and Cazadores Tequila. Currently ranked one of the top #10 restaurants in NYC on TripAdvisor, Lindens serves up a modern American, produce-forward menu, celebrating seasonal ingredients from local growers across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, alongside a curated raw bar, inventive cocktails, organic-driven wines, and local craft beers. And Foxtail, located right down the hall, delivers a moodier, more mischievous experience: as a cozy cocktail den where a playful, film and board game–inspired menu meets indulgent small plates like spicy sausage pizzas, mezze platters, and short rib skewers, all served in a sultry, low-lit setting where the drinks, and on Margarita Day, especially the margaritas, steal the show.
Reyna (11 E. 13th St) is also joining the festivities with a special Strawberry Honey Margarita priced at $22 for the day. The cocktail blends gold honey symbolizing power, vibrant berry representing justice, and fresh lime standing in for faith, resulting in a bright, balanced sip that’s as meaningful as it is delicious. Meaning “queen” in Spanish, Reyna first made waves in Toronto in 2016 before expanding to Union Square in 2022, bringing its Mediterranean tapas and cocktail experience to Manhattan. The menu invites guests on a journey through the Mediterranean with dishes like Falafel Bites, Raw Salmon Tartare, and Chargrilled Octopus, alongside shareable platters such as the “Shawarma” Platter and Grilled Whole Sea Bream, all complemented by a thoughtfully curated beverage program of craft cocktails, wines, and sparkling selections.
Seed Library (444 Park Ave South) is marking National Margarita Day with their bold and indulgent C.R.E.A.M. Margarita, a rich, spicy blend of Lalo Tequila, mezcal, passionfruit, cream ATOM, pickled chilli, and lime that layers smoke, heat, and citrus into one unforgettable sip. Seed Library, located in Hotel Park Ave NYC is a collaboration between Mr Lyan, The Lore Group and Renwick Hospitality Group. Seed Library NYC draws inspiration from its original outpost at One Hundred Shoreditch in London’s East End, reimagining its signature simplicity and creativity while embracing the heritage and innovation that define New York’s bar and cocktail culture.
