Pig Island NYC returns to Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden’s South Meadow on Saturday, September 12, 2026, bringing together an incredible lineup of BBQ chefs, restaurants, farmers, and drink makers for one of New York’s favorite BBQ events.
Now in its 17th year, Pig Island NYC is renowned for its whole-hog approach to BBQ, local drinks, and Hot Sauce Alley. On Snug Harbor’s South Meadow, guests spread out picnic blankets, set up camp chairs, and spend the afternoon exploring Pig Island NYC’s food, drinks, and Snug Harbor’s 83-acre culture park with botanical gardens.
The Pig Island NYC lineup features a range of BBQ, with whole-hog roasts, Caribbean barbecue, Puerto Rican flavor, Portuguese traditions, North and South Carolina wood smoke, New York smokehouse cooking, and freshly picked vegetables from Snug Harbor’s Heritage Farm. Brothers Barbecue headlines the event, coming in hot on a winning streak after taking home the championship at both Brisket King NYC and Rib King NYC. They join Pig Island NYC with hopes of completing the Food Karma Projects BBQ Triple Crown.

Beyond the smokers, guests can expect additional food, sauces, sweets, and snacks from Achilles Heat, Coney Island Saucery, East Meets Young, Jersey Barnfire, Jimmy’s No. 43, MuMsKitchens NYC, and Tipsy Scoop.
The drink lineup is slated to include Bubba’s Secret Stills, Flagship Brewing Co., Fort Hamilton Distillery, Momentum Brew, Piñaq, Polar Beverages, Round Table Brewery, and Upstate Vodka.
All food and drink tastings are included with admission, and tickets are on sale now at pigisland.com. General Admission Tickets are available starting at $55 plus processing fee. VIP Tickets and Packages start at $85 plus fee, and grant attendees early access at 11:00 AM for first tastes and drinks, opportunities to mix and mingle with chefs, and Pig Island NYC swag.
